The Society for Conservation GIS will be holding its annual Holiday Party at WeWork in Midtown on December 20 from 6-8:30 pm. Maria Brown and her daughter are the Keynote Speakers on the work they have been doing in the Peruvian Amazon (bats) since 2012. This is a great chance to meet and network with fellow GIS conservationists. Some of the confirmed participants work for companies like USGS, Nature Conservancy, Environmental Defense Fund, NYC Parks and NYC Department of Environmental Protection, not to mention Esri and academia.
